Since childhood, the human universe has been an attraction for me. Attentive to people and their relationships, I tried to observe, listen, empathize (as I later learned to say), and then to help. Therefore, in 1996, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Al. Ioan Cuza University in Ia\u0219i. It proved to be a good choice, as I worked with joy as a social worker and as an expert in dozens of social or health projects for people in need.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1999, I collaborated for the first time with the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation, which was developing a national network of multidisciplinary assistance for people affected by HIV (the “Sunflower-Smile” network). That’s how I became the coordinator of the HIV\/AIDS day care section at the Infectious Diseases Hospital in Gala\u021bi to develop, alongside medical services, psycho-social and educational assistance services.<\/span><\/p>\n

Romanian Angel Appeal attracted me with its organized, honest, and dedicated work style, so in 2004, I joined the team in Bucharest. Since then, I have been involved in numerous projects providing medical, psycho-social, or educational assistance to vulnerable people affected by HIV\/AIDS, tuberculosis, young people with disabilities, unemployed individuals, those without access to services, etc. Through our work, we strive to bring about positive change for people, and regardless of challenges, the satisfactions are great when beneficiaries give us feedback (“you are angels to us”).<\/span><\/p>\n
