The H\u00e2r\u0219ova Town Hall and the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation have the honor of inviting you to participate in the Launch Conference of the project “Inclusion and Health in PORT (H\u00e2r\u0219ova) through Education, Arts, and Sports”<\/strong><\/span> on April 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM. The event will take place at the H\u00e2r\u0219ova Town Hall, located at Pia\u021ba 1 Decembrie 1918, No. 1.<\/p>\n

Project overview:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The project is funded by a grant of \u20ac582,361 provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants under the Local Development Program. The project’s objective is to enhance the inclusion and social empowerment of Roma individuals in H\u00e2r\u0219ova through interventions that increase children’s access to quality medical services, reduce absenteeism and school dropout rates through non-formal activities, combat ethnic discrimination, and boost the active participation of Roma individuals in community decisions.<\/p>\n

Through its planned objectives and activities, the project “Inclusion and Health in PORT (H\u00e2r\u0219ova) through Education, Arts, and Sports” actively contributes to enhancing economic and social cohesion at both national and local levels. It proposes health and non-formal education interventions dedicated to disadvantaged children and parents at risk of social exclusion.<\/p>\n

The project partners aim to implement sustainable interventions for vulnerable communities in H\u00e2r\u0219ova, promoting an intercultural approach. The non-formal educational activities and the information campaign aim to increase intercultural competencies and awareness of the cultural differences within the community. These will be directly utilized throughout the project’s implementation in all organized activities.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the proposed activities aim to increase tolerance and acceptance of the Roma community by the general population. By involving Roma community representatives in training activities, the project promotes messages of social responsibility, respect for rights, and civic duties.<\/p>\n
