About usCristina Enache
Health Projects Coordinator
I have been an NGO person since 2002 and I can’t imagine being anything else.
All these years I have been working in projects with and for people at risk or affected by tuberculosis or HIV, people at risk of social exclusion, other vulnerable groups.
I have been part of the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation team since 2009, during which time I have moved from direct services offered to people with various vulnerabilities, to information and communication campaigns, community mobilization, advocacy and watchdog.
I coordinated and participated in civil society efforts for the adoption of Law 302 / 2018 on tuberculosis control measures, for the establishment of the first Medico-Social Center in Bucharest for vulnerable groups and for the adoption of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. I coordinated and implemented in Romania the first mobile phone application for people affected or at risk of tuberculosis – OneImpact Romania.
The principles that guide me in everything I do are equity, social justice and respect for human rights. I have learned over the last 10 years that it is important to get involved as citizens in improving public policies and that we need to constantly remind the authorities of their responsibility towards us.
I have been a member of the TB Europe Coalition Board since 2018 and have held the secretariat of the Stop TB Romania Partnership since 2014.
I graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Finance, Insurance, Banking and Stock Exchange in 2001 and in 2020 I attended the course “Creating Demand for Health: Effective Public Health Communications to Induce Behavioural Change” organized by Imperial College Business School London. I am a certified adult education trainer and project evaluator.
