Youth Center Coordinator

My first interaction with RAA was in the winter of 2022; I was in a youth animation training, and the trainer told me that there was an organization in Bucharest that would like to open a youth center. I had been a volunteer for a few years at a local youth organization. The next day, I was in a video call with Adela, who presented her plan for this youth center; I was in training on the other side of the country, and she was sorting clothes for refugees in a center just as the war and humanitarian crisis had started.

A few months later, the Youth Hub opened, and I became an RAA volunteer. In December 2022, I became a youth worker, it was my first job. I grew with the Hub, learned, experimented, and took on more and more responsibilities.

Since May 2023, I have been the coordinator of the RAA Youth Hub. I study political science and am passionate about youth involvement in the community. I believe that young people have the capacity to transform the community they live in into a wonderful place, a place that inspires you and makes you enjoy living there. They have courage, time, are rebellious, and don’t want to go down the beaten paths of boring parents. They need a space with resources and people to provide the support they need. That’s what I do at RAA.
