All Different, All Equal in Schools in Romania

About the project

“All Different, All Equal in Schools in Romania” is a project designed to prepare mainstream schools to effectively manage challenging situations involving children from vulnerable groups.

The activities include:

  • Developing two foundational reports for school interventions: one on child rights violations in mainstream schools and one on best practices for diversity in education, both in Romania and Europe.
  • Creating a network of inclusion trainers: After completing the TOT (Trainer of Trainers) program, network members will develop a “Diversity and Differentiation in Teaching Guide,” proposing an intervention model to support equal opportunities, diversity, and differentiated teaching.
  • Training 160 teachers in diversity and differentiated teaching.
  • Organizing dissemination events in the participating schools to promote messages of diversity acceptance and solutions for differentiated teaching.
  • By the end of the project, at least 90 mainstream schools will join the initiative, conduct awareness campaigns, and adopt the Diversity Charter, a document summarizing the principles and methods of a functional inclusive school.

Goals

The project’s goal is to create a national network of multipliers who will apply effective principles and methods to enhance the capacity of mainstream schools to provide high-quality education for all children, regardless of their level of functional impairment. The project aims to foster a climate of trust and collaboration, promote diversity, uphold human rights, and generally improve the quality of life.

Objectives

O1 – Establish a national multi-stakeholder network of at least 176 expert multipliers who will enhance the capacity of mainstream schools to deliver high-quality inclusive educational programs for all children, promoting diversity and equal opportunities.

O2 – Develop and promote an intervention model to at least 2500 education specialists and 100 schools, aimed at increasing these schools’ capacity to manage and promote diversity, children’s rights, and appropriate adaptation to special educational needs.

O3 – Engage at least 90 education specialists and a minimum of 2700 students in the awareness campaign “A School for All Its Students,” to increase the integration of all children in school, counter bullying and discrimination, and celebrate diversity.
