RAA Initiates an In-Depth Trainer Training Program for Creating the National Network of Trainers and Multipliers in Inclusive Education “All Different, All Equal in Schools of Romania”
A fair world where every child, young person, and adult reaches their maximum potential is the vision of the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation for the society in which we live.
In recent years, we have translated this vision into a series of projects aimed at making schools a good environment for growth and development for all students, working with teachers, school managers, education specialists, parents, and both typical and special needs children.
We want inclusion and acceptance of differences to be not just concepts on paper but everyday practice in mainstream schools.
To ensure our message reaches as many and as diverse communities across the country as possible, RAA is initiating the formation of the National Network of Trainers and Multipliers in Inclusive Education by selecting 16 individuals eager to specialize and promote the subject of inclusive education.
Network members will participate in an in-depth Training of Trainers (TOT) program, at the end of which they will have key competencies in training and facilitating in the field of inclusive education, applying the principles of experiential education and dynamic, interactive methods, where the participant is at the center of the activity.
Structure of the 3 Training Modules:
The modules will be organized as a residential course, with arrival on Wednesday evening and departure on Sunday afternoon, as follows: October 7-10, 2021, January 27-30, 2022, May 5-8, 2022.
When registering, please note that participation in all modules is mandatory. Alongside the trainers, participants will contribute to the development of a Guide for Increasing Inclusion and Promoting Diversity.
Additionally, participants will later be involved in facilitating local training sessions for teachers and in other actions to support mainstream schools in increasing the inclusion of children.
Who we are looking for:
If you are a professional passionate about learning and human development, always open to new challenges, engaged, active, flexible, eager to specialize in training/facilitation, and especially to be part of the network of specialists actively promoting inclusion and diversity created by RAA, this program is for you!
During and after the training program, we will build a framework for the immediate application of the acquired competencies.
We encourage applications from individuals with experience in one of the following areas: working with children (with SEN or typical) in formal/non-formal education contexts, including SEN students in mainstream schools, diversity and human rights, psychology, counseling, direct work in disadvantaged communities.
It is important to us that the people we work with are interested in the topic of integrating/including children with SEN in mainstream schools, in topics related to the acceptance of diversity, as well as in deepening their understanding of the learning processes that support the development of the potential of children with SEN.
The selection criteria will consider the motivation to participate in the training program, the interest in supporting the cause of inclusion among teachers and mainstream schools, previous experience, and the diversity of the group (NGO workers, teachers, psychologists, sociologists, social workers, socio-educational animators, youth workers, etc.).
Selection Method
If the role in the National Network of Trainers and Multipliers in Inclusive Education suits you, please complete the application form by July 12, 2021.
Those who pass the application review stage will be invited to participate in an online interview between July 20 and August 10, with the team of 16 participants for the training program to be finalized by September 1 at the latest.
