Monitoring report on child rights violations in the last 3 years (SEN)

This report aims to monitor and identify violations of child rights over the past three years, focusing on the access of children with special educational needs (SEN) to mainstream schools (grades I-XII).

It highlights cases of rights violations, bullying, and other related issues, presenting instances where complaints were made about the infringement of SEN children’s rights in Romanian mainstream schools. The report also discusses the actions taken by authorities and identifies potential systemic causes to prevent future occurrences, ensuring equal access to education for all children.

The report was developed as part of the project “All Different, All Equal in Romanian Schools!” conducted by the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation (RAA) from April 2021 to September 2023. The project is funded with €221,276 by the Active Citizens Fund Romania, supported by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.
