Teaching Romanian Language to Migrant/Refugee Children Manual, Volume II
Welcome to Romania! An Introductory Guide for Romanian Language Teachers Working with Students from Refugee Families, VOL. 2
The introductory guide for Romanian language teachers continues our collective journey, a journey that began with a dedicated team of educators united by the vision of helping Ukrainian refugee students. As we embark on this new volume, we aim to provide you with a collection of resources necessary to enrich your teaching experiences.
In our role as teachers, guiding refugee students requires a compassionate approach. We must remember that these students have embarked on a journey to a foreign country—Romania—due to the devastating impact of conflict, violence, and persecution.
Their displacement was not a choice, but a necessity, bringing with it the weight of traumatic experiences.
In the classroom, we have the privilege and responsibility to foster an environment rooted in empathy and human connection, understanding that their emotional well-being takes precedence over everything else.
