2023 – New perspectives and a year full of inclusive activities for the Hârșova community
Some time ago, we shared the impressive statistics and the number of smiles brought to the faces of children from vulnerable communities through the activities organized under the project “Inclusion and Health in PORT (Hârșova) through Education, Arts, and Sports.”
We are pleased to announce that 2023 marks another year where the project, conducted by the Hârșova Town Hall in partnership with the Romanian Angel Appeal Foundation, will continue with a diverse array of activities benefiting the local community in Hârșova.
Upcoming activities:
- Training courses: Various specialization courses will be organized for members of the Roma community to enhance their capacity and community development. This includes forming an initiative group to address community issues, learning how to plan and manage community interventions, and acquiring necessary resources for community projects.
- Non-formal education sessions: These will continue for vulnerable children and youth in the community, along with the parental education program and empowerment sessions for Roma women. High-quality medical services will also continue to be provided to vulnerable children and adolescents in the community.
- Strategy development: An important milestone for this year is the development of a community inclusion strategy and a local action plan aimed at improving the situation of Roma citizens in Hârșova.
- Awareness campaign: The latter part of the year will feature a campaign to raise awareness of cultural differences and promote civic participation, culminating all the activities organized within the project.
